26 Road Trip Ready Doggos Raring to Hit the Open Road with their Pawrents

While most pawrents will be familiar with taking their dog to their local park in the car, it is only the most intrepid of travellers who opt to ride the roads with their four pawed pal in tow. And these are their road trip tales as captured in these heartwarming and hilarious photos.

Cars are very susceptible to having meaning attached to them without anyone meaning for that to happen. For us hoomans they can represent the resentment of going to work, the delight of dropping off the kids at school or even the monotony of going to the grocery store. But for our doggos who usually spend a lot less time around and inside cars, the meaning can be much less diverse. Usually pertaining to a trip to the park in the best case and a trip to the vet in the worst.

But there is a certain kind of doggo and pawrent who make sure there is a third kind of association to the car and these are the road trippers. The people who will take their free time and hit the open road with their doggo by their side. Some head to the mountains to scour their tops, while others simply enjoy the rumble of the road beneath their bottom. But no matter what their goal, they all love the feeling of getting into the car to step into yet another adventure. These are some of their stories.

There are many types of road tripping puppers, much like there are many types of road tripping hoomans. And while your mind might have initially jumped to adventure doggos, we are delighted to present you with an example of the road trip snuggler. A pawticular species of road trip pupper who is mainly concerned with cuddling up on their pawrent’s lap and snuggling while enjoying the gentle rock of the car and the soothing vibrations of rubber wheels on asphalt roads. They will not be all too keen to leap out of the car, but they will most certainly be along for the ride.

Now, this is the kind of road hungry buddy who is more ready for his road trip than even his pawrent. He has been up since the crack of dawn, raring to go. Bounding up and down the hallways of his home, barking his head off with excitement at what is to come later in the day. And here you see him early preceding his pawrent’s entry to the car in an effort to express his excitement and readiness. And who can blame him for such excitement, the road is after all a place where anything can happen, and that adventures are born off.
